Lynchburg developer, family man, and avid golfer
Diagnosed with lymphoma in 2001
Doug Anderson, a local Smith Mountain Lake resident, supports Harmony4Hope in memory of his father, Andy. ‘Dad’s diagnosis devastated our family,’ shared Doug. ‘He owned his own business, had recently retired, and was at the top of his game.’
'Lymphoma research has come so far,’ continued Doug. ‘If Dad had been diagnosed 10 years later, it would have been different…anytime you have someone like Bob who is bringing people together to help someone they don’t even know, it’s just amazing.’
Doug continues his father’s legacy of giving back as a volunteer in the Smith Mountain Lake community. We’re grateful to count him among our dedicated champions for research each summer at Harmony4Hope!
